Ex Pembrokeshire Prospectors Member
Percy Richards
29.01.34 - 23.05.13

Ex club member Percy Richards passed away peacfully at home on May 23, aged 79 years. Percy was born and grew
up in Tenby and was one of five brothers and sisters. He met his wife Ann in Cardiff, whilst working there and married
and moved to Monkton, Pembroke where he worked at Pembroke Power Station for 30 years before taking early
retirement. Percy was a great family man and spent much time with his grandchildren. He had a great sense of humour
and enjoyed walking his dog, fishing, gardening and bowling in his spare time. Percy was also an enthusiastic member of
Pembrokeshire Prospectors Society and enjoyed attending meetings and club events with his son Steve. Percy enjoyed
the beachcombing aspects of metal detecting most of all. He keenly searched beaches during the Winter after storms and
during long summer evenings with Steve. Percy always enjoyed the club's gatherings, and in particular, our Christmas dinner
evening when on numerous occassions he was "Captain for Team South" in our legendary North v South After Dinner Quiz.

God Bless

Many Thanks to Kevin Higgs (site officer South) for organising the search.
An enjoyable day out, made even better, by glorious weather.
